Exciting Careers Fair at the Showground

For the very first time we were able to have our own "Creative Zone" at the event with loads of good people to speak to about their careers and how young people might access progression routes :-)

Loved the fact that PHACE young people from the PRC takeover project performed live and I got to play daytime TV host in a mock TV studio set in the Zone!.  8 Expert guests were put through their paces - students vidoed the results and uploaded onto the PHACE YouTube channel :-)

takeover the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire studios with us!

We have an exciting opportunity for the young people of Peterborough to spend the day in charge of BBC Radio Cambridgeshires offices!

With a mentor from the BBC you will spend the day doing WHATEVER YOU WANT... within reason. This day needs to be well planned and well executed, which is why we are having workshops in the February half term to get you guys ready.
The only prerequisite is that there must be a musical aspect of the takeover, preferably live. This dosen't have to be performed by you, you can programme in your extremely talented musical friend and give them the chance to perform live on radio!

This will be a group project of 8 Young People so get in touch with us to register your interest.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!

All our best,

PHACE x

Peter

Say Hello to Ellie Sandall!

As a local artist and founder member of PHACE I’d like to introduce myself to other creatives in the area! My name’s Ellie Sandall and I’m a children’s book author and illustrator based in Deeping St. James.  I was born in Peterborough and have lived in the Deepings my whole life (save a four year stint at University in Bath). Growing up, I was not really aware of any particular arts scene in Peterborough, and it’s so exciting that there are just so many arts projects now on the go in the local area. I’m looking forward to becoming more involved in local events through PHACE!

Lucy & Jorge Orta : Food Exhibition

I had a sneak preview of the exhibition earlier today and it is FABULOUS!!!  For those of you who know the Gallery space and have visited other exhibitions, I can honestly say the Metal team have transformed the spaces and the work is of international quality. I recommend that all of our PHACE Creative Leaders make a point of checking it out ( its on until 4th December so no excuses lol)!
